To participate in the contest, the applicant must fill the application form with the listed annexes. Applications have to be sent by email, mailed or to be submitted to the EU Delegation to Georgia until 17:00, 15 October 2018.

A. For applications by e-mail, 
please submit the following:

A scan of a completed and signed Application Form with the following supporting materials:

1.  For the best story (A), feature story (B), investigative story (C), blog opinion or column (D), the most innovative and original work (E) in print or online media participants must submit:

- an electronic file of the submission with the name of the applicant and the category clearly marked;
- an electronic file with a photocopy of the print edition or a link and screenshot from an online edition to prove that it was published.

2. For the best feature story (B) investigative story (C), the most innovative and original work (E) in broadcast or online media participants must submit:

- an electronic file of the submission with the name of the applicant and the category clearly marked. In case of large files, applicants can submit permanent online links if  available or upload them on YouTube and submit the link;
- a synopsis/script in the original language along, with the title of the programme and the date of broadcasting clearly indicated; 
- a permanent link and/or a screenshot of the submission to prove that it was published.

3. For the best documentary photo participants must submit:

- high quality electronic .jpg file of the submission with the name of the applicant and category clearly marked. Images must not include any embedded marks, logos, names or borders. In the case of large files, applicants can submit permanent online links if available or upload the files on Flickr and submit the link;
- a  brief caption of the image (max 250 words), along with the title and the date of the publication in which the photo was published;
- an electronic file with the photocopy of the print edition or a screenshot to prove that it was published;

An applicant must receive an electronic confirmation acknowledging that the submission was received.

B. For posted or hand delivered applications, please submit the following:

A print-out of a completed and signed application form with the following supporting materials shall be  mailed or to submitted to the EU Delegation to Georgia, 38. Nino Chkheidze Str., 0102 Tbilisi, Georgia: 

1. For the best story (A), investigative story (C), blog opinion or column (D), the most innovative and original work (E) in print or online media participants must submit:

-  a paper copy of the submission with the name of the applicant and the category clearly marked;
- a photocopy of the print edition where the article appeared or a screenshot from an online website to prove that it was published;

2. For the best feature story (B) investigative story (C), the most innovative and original work (E) in broadcast or online media participants must submit:

-  CD/DVD/USB stick with the name of the applicant and the category clearly marked. (CDs/DVDs/USB sticks will not be returned);

- a print-out of a synopsis/script in the original language along with the title of the programme and the date of broadcasting clearly indicated; 
- a print-out of the permanent link and/or a screenshot of the submission to prove that it was published.

3. For the best documentary photo participants must submit:

- high quality printed photo with the name of the applicant and category clearly marked. Images must not include any embedded marks, logos, names or borders.

- a brief caption of the image (max 250 words), along with the title and the date of the publication in which the photo was published;
- a photocopy of the print edition or a screenshot print-out to prove that it was published;

An applicant must receive a paper confirmation acknowledging that the submission was received.

For the best conflict-sensitive journalistic work contributing to confidence-building and peace in the context of armed conflicts in Georgia, displaying high standards of journalistic ethics and professionalism (The EUMM Special Prize for Peace Journalism) participants must apply in the same way and submit an Application Form with the same supporting materials as is mentioned above for other categories.

All entries must be sent by e-mail, post or hand-delivered to the Delegation of the European Union in Georgia until 17:00 on 15 October 2018. Please indicate EU Prize for Journalism 2018 in the subject or on the envelope.
